“Toledo-area war veterans no longer need to let textbooks tell their stories. Instead, residents and students can hear and see their narratives and learn from their experiences.”

Julie Ryan – Toledo Free Press

“I just saw your interview with my father today on your website (The Perfect
Target). I haven’t been to Toledo much since I left for California in 1979
at the age of 22. 90% of what he talked about I never knew – not a great
feeling. Thanks to you we’ll always have a record, not only of his service
to our country, but of the type of man, father and grandfather he was and is
to all of us”.

Thanks, and keep up the great work.

“I read your story in the March 15, 2009 Toledo Free Press. My dad was in the Second Marine Division in WWII and was wounded on Okinawa.

I want to thank you for remembering the greatest generation that insured our freedom we have today. Their story and sacrifice must never be forgotten.”

“Great interview (Red Hot Rider). Thanks for taking the time to put this out for all to hear. My father was the tailgunner on the Irish Lassie, the rammed and crashed plane mentioned a couple of times in the interview”.

“Thank you for this (The Polish Patriot). This is my Grandfather (my DziaDzia) and due to my military service, I don’t get to see him as much as I would like. I returned from Iraq almost a year ago and will be headed back. I will be able to watch this video and see him. Thank you again”.

Very Respectfully, Sergeant First Class Joy L. Nitkiewicz

“This was one of the most interesting interviews I have ever watched. You guy are doing a service to everyone involved in WWII. Great job”!

“Thank you so much for taking the time to honor our veterans with this remarkable video. My grandfather was interviewed and your work will be treasured in our family for generations!”

“Bob Shake is my father.

This is the first time he has ever extensively talked about his military career. It was something that was just not talked about when we where growing up. I understand that its common for war veterans to keep it all inside. A few years back he did sit down and write about his military career for his children but hearing it from him in this video is very special to us. We think Mr. Wulf did a fantastic job of pulling information out of him for the interview. Many details that I had not know before.

Many thanks to Mr. Wulf and Mr. Neely for your patriotic efforts to capture these stories for all time.”

Sincerely,

Michael Shake

“I was so glad to have discovered this interview (Golden Acorn) through my daughter Linda. I’ve known Bill Travis for a long time and as my former father-in-law. I am not certain but I think my father John Morrissey and Bill Travis may have been supporting each other in the Battle of the Bulge. Dad was a tank commander and I think I remember that they discovered they had been in the same area of the battle at the same time but of course in different ways.

I thank you for having helped with this part of my family history. I am truly grateful.”

“Bob Zeller is my Dad. I cannot put into words how proud I am to be his son. Some of these I have heard before, some I have not. It is impossible not to get emotional over some of these incidents. God Bless Him and my Mom, and God Bless America.
Support our Troops!!!”
