T/Sgt Robert Zeller served his country during World War two in the 8th Army Air Corp – 445th Bomb Group – 701st Squadron as a radio operator/ gunner. This is the same Group that the famous Jimmy Stewart served. This group is also well known for its part in one of the most devastating missions of World War 2, the Kassel Mission. Read more

Career Soldier

Bob Shake served our country from 1942-1945, and 1947-1964.  His long career, presented us with a wonderful first hand account of World War Two. He first saw action in Sicily, then Italy, France and Germany. When the war in Europe had ended, Bob had over 100 points and should have been able to return home. Instead he was reassigned and served as Military Police in the Pacific. Read more

B-24 Veteran Jim Ryan

A rare story…. Jim and his crew crash Landed in Sweden during the second World  War. Sweden was a neutral country so they held all P.O.W.s from all countries. Jim was lucky to survive and then was given photos of his plane by a Swedish waitress. He actually made it home to the U.S. before the war ended. Read more

Douglas C-47 Skytrain

Our trip and small documentary of the C-47. It is most known for dropping paratroopers over Normandy on D-day. Rick’s Father and Father in law both Paratroopers, jumped out of the C-47 during the war. His Father in law made 50 jumps during his time in the army. Notice Rick wears his father’s jump wings on his hat. Read more
