Our Mission

“Late in 2007, Toledo natives Chris Wulf and Rick Neeley discovered their shared passion for history and began asking area war veterans to convey their stories. They founded History Documented, and gave local veterans the opportunity to document their war experiences.”
“HistoryDocumented.com is an educational Internet resource that teachers, students and anyone interested in history can access to find “firsthand accounts of history they can’t find in textbooks–things that bring historical events to life and make them more real.”
“Funding for the project comes from Neeley and Wulf, which allows them to hold two or more interviews a week. Neeley said they would like to do more, but the costs…. restrict them. Wulf is working to make History Documented an incorporated nonprofit.”

Our goal and purpose of this website is to ensure that history will never again be forgotten and lost for future generations. We want to take our past and pass the knowledge on to future generations.

We use the best video production techniques currently available to us in order to document our veterans’ history. We use this oral history technique in order to add enjoyment to education.

We feel that many veterans are forgotten, not to mention their stories. We want the world to know the hardships the United States has suffered in order to guard us from foreign evils. We simply overlook our freedom in this country, and the sacrifices so many men and women have given us.

We often forget about Korea, Vietnam and the Cold War Veterans. All of our veterans deserve remembrance. Our veterans did not choose the year they were born, or when war would erupt.

We hope people come to this site and leave feeling proud to be an American. That every day on this site is a dedication to veterans. One day a year will never be enough to thank those who served, and will never be enough to remember those who gave it all.

Each veteran we interview receives a FREE copy of their interview. Therefore their history can be passed down in the family for generations.

We are professional group of individuals, who donate our free time to help save history. Each interview is done with the utmost respect, but is also checked for historic inaccuracies in order to provide future generations with the history from those who lived it.

We support our troops, Past and present.

Sincerely,

Chris Wulf
