Nelson Bell grew up on a farm in the small town of Circleville,Ohio just south of Columbus.
Nelson tells us many stories of life as a young man living through the beginning of the war. He then details his experience in the Navy, which began shortly before the end of the war. Read more

Leonard Newman was born and raised in Cleveland,Ohio.
He joined the military as soon as he was old enough to serve. He found himself serving as a replacement in Japan. He tells a wonderful story of what life was like in post war Japan. He talks to us about seeing Hiroshima, and routing the Japanese people from caves. Read more
